Day 11

It rained all night. We woke up early took our showers. Coffee and cereal, then broke camp. We drove about forty-five minutes to Aztec Ruins Road RV Park, located on the western bank of the Animas River in Aztec, New Mexico.

During our check-in, the owner gave us the best RV spot in the park; under two large trees and a large green grass meadow across from our front door. We hooked up to electric and water and completed our set up.

Day 12

The next morning, I made French toast, bacon and coffee. It rained on and off, then the big puffy white clouds came out with the sunshine.

We drove down the street to the Aztec Ruins National Monument.

From the late 1000 to the late 1200s, the ancestral Pueblo (Anazazi) built this complex. A three story building had over 500 rooms and many kivas. The Hopis, Zunis, Navajos, Jicarilla Apaches, Utes and the Mescalero Apache tribes lived here, plus many more tribes. Its easy to understand this because our modern homes are occupied by other people as time goes by.

Lance and I understand we are merely guests in these dwellings. Before each site, I silently ask permission to enter. Each time, I hear the word, yes.

We noticed there are areas that have not been excavated yet.

The photo below is the reconstructed large kiva that is still used today for ceremonies.

I asked permission to enter the restored kiva. I was told yes. Lance and I entered quietly and reverently. Immersed in the energy, Lance walked over to the opposite side of the entrance and sat down on the bench. I was guided to walk to the left (90 degrees to the right of Lance.) We both noticed we were a little unsteady on our feet inside the kiva.

I closed my eyes. Someone pushed the button upstairs to play the ceremonial chants. I went into an altered state of consciousness, and heard someone say, “Walk over to the sunlight.” From the skylight above in the middle of the ceiling, there was a stream of sunlight. I got up, walked over and stood in the sunlight and felt the energies entering my body. I called in the cosmic consciousness light into my body and energy fields.

When I received “It is finished.” I walked back to my seat. This time, I heard different tribal sounds. Through my third eye, I saw the ancient Pueblos dancing in the kiva. The mathematical star language came out of my vocal cords. I said prayers and blessings to the ancestors, people of today, Mother Earth, and all of Creation. Lance did his blessings too.

No one from the physical world, entered the kiva while we were inside. Out of respect, we did not take photos.

As a side note, upon our return home from our journey, we found out our Navajo friend, Ron Holt had just visited the Aztec Ruins within days of our visit!
