Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the client by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the client's body and restore physical and emotional well-being. It has been reported by many to be very relaxing and calming.

 

Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in the Japanese origin discovered by Mikao Usui. The word "Reiki" comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means "Universal Life" and (Ki) which means "Energy." Reiki is the life energy that goes through all living things. Reiki practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves to help others.

 

It is believed that a person's (Ki) or energy should be strong and free flowing. When this has been achieved, a person's body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked, it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.

I believe there are certain elements in our lives that control our actions, reactions and the outcomes in our daily lives, that can only be healed or released through some form of energetic healing, generated through the help of our allies and angels, channeled through a healer.

Stuck energies can be anywhere in the body. They are normally identified as physical, emotional and mental disturbances. Reiki works because it addresses all connections leading to an ailment.

 

What to expect when receiving a Reiki treatment

Typically, a Reiki treatment last 45 to 60 minutes. When you first enter the healing room you will be asked some brief questions on what your intention is behind receiving Reiki. I will ask you to please remove your shoes and turn off your cell phone. The next step will then be demonstrating on myself, where I will lay my hands on you, so that you feel comfortable and aware of the process. 

 

You will then be asked to lay face up, on a massage table and the session will start. After a half hour has transpired, you will then be asked to turn over, face down, in order to receive Reiki on the opposite side. Most people fall asleep right away and report feeling a lot of heat coming through my hands when experiencing a Reiki treatment. They wake up feeling extremely peaceful and relaxed.
