Days 4-5
On day 4, we broke camp and headed toward Page, Arizona on US-89. This was a beautiful three- hour drive on the Navajo Nation. The sky was an azure blue with puffy white clouds. The red Earth sandstone held images of people, faces and animals.
As we entered Page, we found an RV park with water, electric and sewer hookup. RoamAmerica Horseshoe Bend campground was perfect for us. They gave us a discount fee that included a swimming pool, restaurant, laundry, and 6 brand new private bathrooms, each complete with a flushing toilet, shower, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, sink, and mirror.
Our campsite number was 77. Angel number 77 signifies spiritual awakening, positive life changes, and we are on the right path towards enlightenment and fulfilling our life’s purpose.
After setting up camp, since it was so hot, we bought cotton sheets at Walmart to sleep on our pads and mattresses. This did the trick, because it was too hot for flannel-lined sleeping bags.
On Day 5, we drove to Lake Powell in the Glen Canyon Dam Recreation Park. The ranger at the check-in station, sold us a twenty-dollar Senior Annual- America the Beautiful National Park & Federal Recreation Lands Pass that is valid until 2026. This is one case where old age has benefits.
We drove down to the water and stood in its healing waters with our bare feet. A large striped bass came up to us, foretelling of our spiritual talents and the generous sharing of them.
The rock formations in the distance are beautiful. We blessed the land and its people.
It rained during the night. We prayed we would have sunshine for our tour of Lower Antelope Canyon scheduled for the next day. The journey continues in Part 3: Lower Antelope Canyon and Barbara's ceremony with Mother Earth.
